Hotels and Resorts in Raki Raki

Wananavu Beach Resort

Location: Located only 2 hours by car from Nadi Airport, Wananavu Beach Resort is situated on a picturesque headland on Viti Levu's most northern point Raki Raki, overlooking a magnificent lagoon. It's a small resort, off the beaten track with good diving nearby.

The trip to Wananavu is an adventure in itself, as the drive to the resort allows you to stop and experience the real Fiji.

Accommodation: There are 15 deluxe bures built on the hillside, all with private facilities and fantastic views of the ocean and outer islands. All bures feature ceiling fans, bar-fridge and tea & coffee making facilities. They also offer 3 two-bedroom villas, which are fully self-contained with kitchen, laundry and their own private BBQ.

Amenities: The resort has a wonderful a-la-carte restaurant with licensed bar, offering a great blend of Fijian and international cuisine. A traditional Fijian feast, also known as a 'Lovo', is organised once a week subject to guest numbers in house. The Sunset Bar offers a wide variety of beverages and is open daily.

Activities: They offer a variety of activities for you to enjoy including outrigger canoes, snorkelling, swimming pool, tennis court, tropical waterfall, reef walks, volleyball court, gym, windsurfing and first class diving. Also indulge in a Day Spa-Island Boat Tour or even some fishing; all information is available at the Front Desk.

Diving: Ra Divers is located on Nananu-Ra Island, just across from Raki Raki and conduct the diving for Wananavu Beach Resort.

There are more than 50 dive sites, which Ra Divers regularly visit, most of which are no more than 20 minutes by boat from Nananu-I-RA Island.

The diving in these waters is superb with schools of barracuda, spanish mackerel and trevally frequently sighted roaming the coral heads with the resident sharks. Black coral trees, multicolored soft and hard corals, sea whips and prolific tropical fish make these dives a photographer’s paradise. Dives such as Breath taker - a deep reef where schools of big fish and many sharks are found, will leave you as the name suggests!
