Kokoda Tours:
In World War 2, Australian soliders fought to prevent Japanese forces from capturing Port Moresby. The Kokoda Trail
The 96 km Kokoda trail passes through rugged mountainous country of rainforest, jungles of fern, orchids, birds and clean mountain streams which tumble into steep valleys. Hot, humid days with intensely cold nights, torrential rainfall make it a challenge to walk. Despite the challenge posed it is a popular hike that takes between five and 12 days (depending on fitness).
