As a guest of Fafa Island, you too can experience the friendliness and charm of the most hospitable people imaginable. The Island is comfortable yet unintrusive, free from the distrations of modern life yet with the precious commodity of relaxation and recreation.

Since only a tiny portion of Fafa is developed for the comfort of guests, the main part of the island remains in natural island vegetation. This can be explored by an adventurous bush trail, taking a leasurely 20 minutes, after which you may like to rest at one of the many laid back bars.

Fafa Island Resort

Fafa Island Resort is the perfect retreat for those seeking peace and tranquility, empty beaches and turquoise waters with coral gardens. The island is guarded by a coral reef ensuring safe swimming and snorkeling for the guests. Deserted beaches invite you to relax and lie in the sun.

 

 

 

 

Location: Fafa Island Resort, an 18 acres palm covered atoll is located approximately 50 minute drive from the international airport and a further 30 minutes by fast boat from Nuku’alofa township.

Accommodation:
The Bungalows at the resort are built with natural materials; palm poles, wooden shingles, and coconut thatch and palm timber floors. The Deluxe and Superior rooms are just a few steps from the waters edge with unobstructed views of the ocean, each with it’s private beach and they are provided with maximum privacy as they are set far apart from each other.

Amenities:
With its unique Tongan/European seafood cuisine, a tropical cocktail bar, this is a true south sea hideaway where the only thing warmer than the sun is the smiles.

Activities:
Apart from relaxing in on the fine sandy beaches around the island, or dozing in a hammock in the shade, Fafa Island offers a variety of activities.

Water sport facilities like paddleboats, windsurfers, a hobie cat and snorkel equipment are available on the island. However, no petrol-based water sports are permitted around the island.
